By all accounts, the Ipswich performance was an allround display of many chances created, 3 taken (superbly), resolute defending and at last a team that looked the part in every department. Normally I would like us to have a decent FA Cup run but would it be best to "concentrate on the league"? Or would victory against Leicester give us another boost in our quest for safety?
Yes what a magnificent win against Ipswich yesterday. I hope that now we've got over the hoodoo of not scoring in so long we can now let the floodgates open.
Usually I would say concentrate on the league, however this season we're concentrating on getting out of the relegation zone and not trying to win the league. In which case I'd say we need all the confidence we can get, and if a good cup run brings that then so be it.
I hope we do get through against Leicester and get a big draw in the 4th round. Getting knocked out to Man Utd at home would be much easier on the confidence than losing to Leicester.
And then we can concentrate on the league!
I think the only way to get confidence is by playing football matches so a fa cup run would help. Great win yesterday and hopefully they can build on this now and get away from the relegation zone.
For me it is to have a good cup run as its good for the fans and helps with confidence for the players. We may also earn a few bob for the future.
Yeah Phil, we can be the richest club in League 1!!!
