Just been reading it looks like Marlon Harewood is going to be in the Forest squad for the Leicester game on the 7th. I knew he has been training with the squad for afew weeks but was'nt sure we would sign him.
My memories of Marlon just seem to be fans slagging him of and laughing at him coz he was abit of a donkey. But i suppose beggers cant be choosers and at the minute were struggling so badly.
Is Marlon the answer? Am not to sure.......
Its difficult to get too excited about it, but right now anything that might help is welcome. If he can get a couple of goals and break the drought then it might make a difference. We won't be any worse of with him around that's for sure. I'm more pleased that Cunningham is sticking around.
Used to call him Marlon Harebrain but he is still pretty quick and , as we haven't had a goal in SIX games he might break the drought (surely six without has to be a worst in the history of NFFC?...statto RDT to the rescue here!).
Our worst longest non scoring run in the league came in Season 2003/04 when we drew a blank in 7 games from Dec 13th,03 to Feb 7th,04. Results were 0-1 Palace (a), 0-1 Norwich (a), 0-2 West Ham (h), 0-1 Sunderland (a), 0-1 Reading (h), 0-0 Cardiff (a), 0-1 Coventry (h). We were in the bottom 3 after the Coventry game (29 games). Joe Kinnear then came in and guided us to safety.
Incredibly, we had 14 straight defeats before The Great War of 1914-18. We lost the last 6 games of the 1912/13 season and the first 8 games of the 1913/14 season. Although we did manage to score 8 goals during this losing sequence. However we did finish bottom in 1913/14!! I hope the misfiring forwards had a better aim during their European travels of the next four years!!!!!!!
Thought you would have the facts there RDT, so failure to net against Bluebirds will equal the Garibaldi's worst ever non scoring run.Bugger.
