Forest 0 - 1 Peterborough

Posted by Sudders on 27/12/2011 14:09:46

The last game I went to was Crystal Palace away. The last game of last season back in May where we won convincingly 3-0.

7 months on and I've returned from a trip of a lifetime and attended yesterdays spectacle. How have we managed to fall so low in such a short space of time!?

We could have played all day and we still woudn't have scored. I'm not sure if this is a reflection of how we have been playing but I can only comment on what I saw yesterday. We were awful. We had nothing in midfield, defence looked shaky at times (however I do understand that we're not playing people in the right position).

Strikers are hard to judge as they weren't given anything. However they need to be more hungry when a decent cross finally comes in.

The crosses were terrible throughout until Reidy came on.

I do feel that things are against us at the moment. Boyd scoring a goal like that when he would never do that for us was unfortunate.

Basically I feel embarrased walking away from the city ground. especially as I'd left a potential Prem team and now we're likely to be a league one team next season.

If we do go down, yesterday was the game that made me realise.it!

This game may have been uninspiring and dire but it was far better than some of the stuff we've been subjected to whilst you were away.  Without divine inspiration we are relegated.   Even if by some miracle we avoid the drop this season, ND and his lapdog have done for us in the long term.  They say the truth hurts well in Forest's case it hurts a lot.
