Another Saturday, another 1-1 Draw and still no win for Forest! I genuinely feel we were lucky to get the point yesterday. Norwich are a newly promoted side and we should be sinking these teams if we have any chance of gaining promotion! I think it's obvious that we need some new signings. We need to understand how to win ugly (as Newcastle did last season). The performance wasn't there yesterday, but neither were the points.
We desperately need a new face or two just to freshen things up. Norwich were better than us and we couldn't have moaned had we lost. There are just a couple of days left to get someone in. Let's hope the TAC get their arses into gear and get moving! But let's remember we're 20 unbeaten in the League at home so Billy's doing something right. 3pts v Millwall and an away win or two will put us back on track, hopefully with a new face or two.
Good to see Sudders pre match in the Southbank with his squeeze. She's very impressive. He's definitely punching above his weight!!
Same old Same old..............
Here we go again! echos of seasons gone by. The promise of new faces, the great expectations of promotion. The excitement of the new season. (remember were serious about promotion, are you?) Well the powers that be, have taken our season ticket money and given nothing in return. I accept that we came close last season but i do think we were very lucky on occasions and I suppose you need lady luck on your side. Yesterday was just not good enough. (emagine if we had got promotion last term and we wre playing the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal) We seemed laboured and heavy footed. We lacked detrmination! I know Norwich made it difficult for us at times, but we must have more than one game plan.I may be mistaken but I think our first shot on goal was 5 mins into the second half. We need to find an instinctive striker who is prepared to have a go on sight and not try and walk the ball in the net.
Sorry but i must have one last moan. I know football fans are fickle, but what the hell is this booing off players when being subbed? It happend to Smithy pre season and now McEnna. Ok he did have a stinker but this is no way to react when players when their heads are allready down. they need encouregment to boost their confidance not the opposite.
Don't like to be negative so eariy on in the eason but if things don't improve soon we are allways going to be the one of those teams that are almost there.
Zuluski, spot on. The clowns who cheered McKenna's substitution are pathetic. Yes, he did have a poor game, but so did a few others! Moussi moved the ball quicker when he came on but he was the only plus for me in what was really a poor display.
We've been shortchanged by various regimes over the years. When you think it's now over a decade since we "graced" (and I use that word loosely) the top Division. There have been so many promises and then some pathetic excuses from the hierachy. Managers have come and gone and judging by yesterday we're still a long way off where we need to be. Still think two new faces will freshen things up or like I posted last week O'Neill is in the wings. Intersting times ahead over the next couple of weeks.
sorry all,
Think i made my point! Computer seems to have gone mad. keeps sending same info
OOPPSS
Lol
Fully agree about the McKenna booing. What's that going to achieve!? OK he had a poor game and I'm one that keeps moaning about the one trick poney he has of trying to play the ball quickly over the top (and often out for a throw in!!)
But i will never boo my own players! Utter disgrace! he's the one that held us together last season and this is no way to treat our team captain!!
Another fortunate 1 point, not good enough lads. If you do not close down the opposition and force errors giving them more time than a Sunday non league team expect the same results or worse. Those fans who boo are own players are not helping and are as sad as the result/s we are getting.
