Bradford City 2 - 1 Forest (Post match reaction)

I have mixed feelings about this game. In reality it doesn't matter that we are knocked out of a cup that we will never win and it surely is seen as a distraction. However the manner of which we threw the game away after being a goal up does worry me. I know most of the team was makeshift, however surely it was still strong enough to beat Bradford City?!

This just proves to the transfer panel that we are short in reserves and we need to make some signings sooner rather than later. Can't really comment too much as I didn't go to the game, however it sounded like Tyson missed a hat full again. Is he good enough for our team?

The worst thing about this result is continuing the bad habit of not winning away.   Also our lack of accurate firepower is worrying.

We can kid ourselves that it does not matter, but all games matter for confidence and pride. I know it is a low profile cup competition but the final is at Wembley with a European qualifying place at stake and keeping in the competition will generate additional money for the club.

We have had a terrible warm up to the season and now 2 defeats out of 2 games it is not good enough and will only kill the confidence of the team and fans. We need a quick goal on Sunday and a win at the end of the game to get us on the right track again.

The team last night was good enough to beat a second division club - the players need to stand up for themselves and the club.

Cant really blame lack of signings for the two shocking goals we gave away last night and there was more than enough talent in the squad to make mince meat of Bradford despite having 5 players away.

We need to address form away from home as soon as possible or its going to be one hard slog over the next 9 months.

I dont get all the ' its only the Carling Cup' poop. Winning breeds confidence so to go out to League Two opposition is very very disapointing and more so after being ahead.

We are never going to win the cup so dont really care if we get knocked out now by bradford or later by Man Utd.. We need to get back to winning ways in the league and look at promotion let Bradford play one of the big boys and lose.

Lets smash Leeds and get back on track....

You Reds!

sorry redman, i disagree. You enter any tornament to win. If like you say, we are never going to win it, shall we give the FA Cup a miss too as there's no point playing in that too. Winning breeds confidence and we should not be losing to teams like Bradford.

What better opportunity was there than beating Bladford to get back to winning ways! Gotta agree with Dave here wins give confidence no matter who the opposition or what the occasion. Am a big fan of Davies but its his fault we have lost these first two games, his selections aint been the best. Massive game sunday already! Fucking hate Leeds!
